Best Gear & Recommended Buys

We keep getting sent a lot of questions about what gear to buy for a specific budget, and we have our Recommended Buyer’s guide just for that!

If you’re looking for new gear and are not sure what to get or where to look first, this is a perfect place to start as we have recommendations in all price classes!

Best Gear

Each time when we review a unit which turns out to be excellent, we award it with our Recommended Buy Award. It looks like this and you can find the badge in the article and on the main image of the article

Once a unit has won our Recommended Award, it is also added to our Recommended Buy List. In this list there are multiple categories and we cover the following:

These lists get updated each time there’s a new unit worthy of the list, and older gear gets removed regularly. When old gear is removed, it doesn’t mean they’re not any good anymore. In this fast moving consumer market, so many new units get launched each day that older models become obsolete quickly. Except for specific models like the Sennheiser HD600, just to name one.

You will still be able to find the Recommended Buy logo of the “removed” gear when you check out the dedicated review. We never take away Awards we handed out.
