What’s New in the 64 Audio TWELVE Ti Special Edition?

Everyone knows the famous 64 Audio U12t in-ear monitors. They are a highly regarded pair for every type of listener, from live performers to audiophiles to mixing engineers. Now, in the first quart of 2026, we are met with a limited edition of the U12t: the TWELVE Ti. This version of the earphone comes with all the same features as the original U12t, except this time, it is in a new chassis that is lighter and made for longer listening sessions. Will this one knock out the classic U12t? Or is the TWELVE Ti just another collector's item? In this review, we find out what's new with the TWELVE Ti and if it's worth adding to your collection. 

As far as build quality goes, 64 Audio has yet to disappoint. The TWELVE Ti follows suit in shape and design for most of their other in-ear monitors, with the logo stated proudly on the side. The chassis itself is on the larger side but comes with a pretty universal nozzle, so any host of eartips can fit onto the monitor. A lot of customers are a fan of how the universal shape of 64 Audio molds well to the ear, and the TWELVE Ti is no exception to that group. The shape is essentially identical and will fit all the same.

The once difference in the TWELVE Ti is no secret; as a matter of fact, its in the title itself. Ti stands for ‘titanium', which is what the chassis on this new earphone is made out of. This makes the TWELVE Ti lighter and far easier to wear for long periods of time without fatigue. If you're a musician and crave something very lightweight for your stage performances, the TWELVE Ti may be an alluring choice.

The cables included with the TWELVE Ti are made from a silver-plated UP-OCC copper, giving it a similar shine that the faceplates do. The box with the IEMs holds the 3.5mm termination cable, and the 4.4mm cable is packaged separately. Aesthetically, it is darker and has a more lustrous look than the U12t (2025 Edition), but the cable itself gives a lot of the same quality.

With the new titanium chassis, is the sound of the TWELVE Ti that much different than the original U12t? Short answer: no. The driver configuration and tuning are essentially the same to give you consistent sound from one model to the next. I listened to both the U12t and the TWELVE Ti side-by-side, and the difference between them was close to none. There was a very slight bass warmth coming from the TWELVE Ti, mainly due to the shell being a different material and absorbing frequencies differently. Overall, the TWELVE Ti and the U12t have the same balanced sound signature that highlights natural, neutral sound reproduction. It is detailed and has immense clarity to leave no element unnoticed. I found myself wearing these for long sessions without issue, enjoying the balance from treble to bass and the precision in the imaging. I was fully immersed in my listening, just as I would be with the U12t. 

Does this make the TWELVE Ti worth the extra $500? Looking at sound quality alone, I wouldn't say so. The U12t is an excellently balanced earphone, which gains a little extra clarity from the stainless steel shell the drivers sit in. The TWELVE Ti's titanium shell delivers the same excellent clarity, save for a subtle low end warmth. The sound quality will be consistent and clean no matter which version you choose, so that $500 extra really accounts for your comfort. 

Should you add the 64 Audio TWELVE Ti to your collection? After analyzing the TWELVE Ti and comparing it against the original U12t, I would say the main upgrade you get is the aesthetic and comfort. If you think the U12t was heavy in your ear and could stand to be lighter, the titanium shell of the TWELVE Ti swoops in to solve that very issue. Otherwise, it delivers the same precision, clarity, depth, and detail that 64 Audio is known to give. If you go based on sound quality alone, you may find the U12t will give you the same good sound for a bit cheaper.
